New class opportunities have popped up in Cleveland! As spring is just around the corner, a new life has been breathed into the community. Take a look at all of the performances, auditions, and classes available this next month.

 

PERFORMANCES

 

dotdotdot, March 3rd, The Magalen, Slavic Village, 6pm-10pm

 

Join us for modern night of art and dancing at the Magalen!

In a casual and fun setting, art and dance will collide, and we want you to be there! This jam-packed night will include the artistic talents of:

Neos and the Akron Symphony Orchestra, March 17, EJ Thomas Hall, Akron, 8pm

 

Neos, along with the Akron Symphony Orchestra, will wow audiences with work inspired by folk music from all over. For more information and tickets, click here.

 

Verb Ballets:

 

NEOSonicFest, March 17, Baldwin Wallace University, Berea

 

Verb Ballets will be at Baldwin Wallace University in Berea alongside the Cleveland Chamber Symphony. More details and tickets will be out soon! For more information, keep tabs on their site here.

 

30th Anniversary Celebration, March 25, The Breen Center, Ohio City, 8pm

 

Verb Ballets is celebrating it’s anniversary! Join the company for an evening full of old favorites and brand-new premieres. Tickets and details here.

 

The Carnival of the Animals, March 26, The Breen Center, Ohio City, 3pm

 

Verb Ballet will once again make an appearance at the Breen Center to present a fanciful world with Carnival of the Animals. Verb Ballets will use the music of Camille Saint-Saens to tell the story of newfound friendship between the creatures. For tickets and more information check them out here.

 

GroundWorks DanceTheater:

 

GroundWorks at the Breen Center, March 17th and 18th, Ohio City, 7:30pm AND at EJ Thomas Hall, March 30th and April 1st, Akron, 7:30pm

CLASSES

 

The Movement Project:

 

Starting March 1st, TMP will be having weekly professional classes in modern/contemporary, ballet, and pilates at our new home in Pilgrim Church in Tremont! For the schedule and pricing, take a look here. We’d love to dance with you!

 

Classes at Studio 11 with Rebecca Burcher:

 

On Saturdays from 12:45-2:15pm, Rebecca Burcher is teaching professional/advanced modern/contemporary classes in Tremont! The drop-in rate is $14. Check out the class description below:

 

Adult Int/Advanced Modern will focus on exploring and strengthening the body’s natural pathways and sequences through various post-modern and modern techniques.  Class will contain elements of improvisation, core-distal relationship, sequencing, spiraling, release, and dynamic contrast.  Dancers will be encouraged to focus on individual goals and pathways with support and direction from the instructor.  Prior dance experience is required.


 

The Cleveland Tango School
