Summer has been a busy time for Cleveland! Our NBA win and presence of the RNC has certainly received a lot of attention over the past several weeks. However, as the warmer months come to a close, there is going to be a lot happening in the dance world. To keep you all in the loop of the goings-on in this city, I have done a little research. Here is what is in the works for August and September:
PERFORMANCES:
THE MOVEMENT PROJECT
TMP's SummerWorks 2016, August 5th at 7pm:
The Movement Project will be at The Breen Center for the Performing Arts for SummerWorks '16! Join us for a night of new work by TMP, as well as a guest performance by our 2016 summer intensive artists! Tickets are only $12 online, $15 at the door. For more information, click here!
DANCING WHEELS
"Labyrinth" and Mixed Repertoire, August 12th at 8pm:
Dancing Wheels Company and School will be performing at Cain Park! The performance will include the premiere of the work "Labyrinth" as well as other company repertoire. For more information check out their website!
GROUNDWORKS DANCETHEATER
GroundWorks DanceTheater at Arts in August, August 12 at 8:30pm:
GroundWorks will be performing an exciting adaptation of Carmina Burana, as well as work by New York choreographer Adam Barruch! Check out the company's website for more information.
VERB BALLETS
Verb Ballets at Arts in August, August 13 at 8:30pm:

Cleveland Ballet at Playhouse Square, September 9th:

THE CLEVELAND TANGO SCHOOL
The Cleveland Tango School is offering beginner classes, starting on the first Thursday of each month! It's $50 for the four-class series, Thursdays from 8-9, and no experience or partner necessary! For more information click here!
