PADMA CHEBROLU (she/her) is an award-winning filmmaker, arts activist, and a distinguished traditional dance performing and teaching artist specializing in various Indian dance forms. As the artistic director of the Cultural Centre of India, she has made significant contributions to the preservation and promotion of Indian arts. Her work has garnered numerous accolades, including multiple awards from international film festivals, highlighting her talent and dedication to storytelling through film. Padma is also a recipient of the Ohio Arts Council’s Heritage and Traditional Arts Fellowship for lifetime achievement, recognizing her impact on the cultural landscape. As a Master Teacher, she has inspired countless students and fellow artists, sharing her expertise and passion for dance. In addition to her artistic endeavors, Padma serves on the boards of the Ohio Alliance for Arts Education and OhioDance, advocating for the importance of arts education and supporting the dance community in Ohio. She is listed on the Ohio Arts Council’s Teaching Artist Roster and is recognized as an Artist on Tour by the Cincinnati Arts Association, showcasing her commitment to sharing her art with diverse audiences.
