Meet the Artists
ANNESLEY HARING is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher based in St. Louis, MO. She is a recent graduate of Lindenwood University where she received a BFA in Dance with an Emphasis in Contemporary and a BA in Business Administration with an Emphasis in Marketing. Prior to attending Lindenwood, Annesley trained for fifteen years, ten of them at Fusion Dance Center, where she is now an instructor. During her time at Lindenwood, Annesley served as the President of the student-led dance organization, Synergy. Annesley performed in Synergy’s Informal Dance Concerts, as well as the Lindenwood University Dance Program’s Fall, Winter and Spring Dance Concerts. She also performed at the Big Muddy Dance Festival, The Detroit Dance City Festival, and American College Dance Association. Annesley had the opportunity to perform in works by guest artists Audrey Johnston, Christine Howe, Madison Hicks, and Hot Crowd Chicago. Annesley received an Award for Outstanding Choreography for her first choreographic work, “seven” in 2021. In March 2022, Annesley received the opportunity to showcase her work “I kept searching” in the Informal Concert at the American College Dance Association Conference. She was a Student Judge for the Hellbender Student Film Festival and a member of the Student Committee for the Detroit Dance City Festival. Annesley has also trained with professional company Water Street Dance Milwaukee, and will be attending Gus Giordano’s Jazz Intensive on scholarship in 2023.
MEGAN BRYARS (she/her) is a twenty-three year old full time Dance Instructor. She has been dancing for sixteen years. After graduating college, she continued to purse her passion in dance. She teaches Hip Hop at the Beck Center in Lakewood, OH as well as teaching Ballroom and Latin Dance at La Danse Cleveland in Beachwood, OH. She also does freelance performing and choreography. She performed in the show “Eleanor Danced!” right after graduating. In 2022 her first ever dance film "Coping" was featured in the Cleveland Dance Fest. She loves collaborating with artists throughout the greater Cleveland area, and building connections with all types of artists. She continues to make dance films and now has 3 projects to her name with more to come. Throughout her sixteen years of dancing, she has performed in the UK, Walt Disney World, Playhouse Square, The Cleveland Public Library, and many other places. She plans to move to Atlanta, Georgia to continue her career in dance and dance on film.
LIZ BUSTLE, originally from Dayton, Ohio, attended The Ohio State University before earning her BFA in Dance Theatre from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles. From there, Liz danced professionally in LA and NYC on television, film, and on both the musical theater and contemporary stage. Some credits include LA Fashion Week, Disney, BrockusRED Dance Company, LA Philharmonic, the Cleveland Orchestra, TruTV, and the Garry Marshall Theater. Liz was previously a fitness instructor on both coasts for national boutique fitness brands, celebrities, Broadway stars, and fellow dancers. She has since moved to Columbus and opened Studio Glow Fitness teaching barre, dance cardio, and trampoline cardio.
EMILY KILROY Originally from Boston, MA, Emily Kilroy is a multidisciplinary dance artist based in Columbus, OH. Emily is a graduate of The Ohio State University where she received both her BFA in Dance and her BA in Arts Management. During her undergraduate years, Emily performed in countless works choreographed by renowned OSU dance faculty and guest artists. Alongside her own practices, Emily is a collaborative performer with LP + Dancers under the direction of Columbus-based dance artist Laura Patterson. Emily is also the recent recipient of an Individual Artist Grant from the Greater Columbus Arts Council. Emily's individual work focuses on the blending of performance genres, the exploration of her own feminine identity, and the different lenses that humor can be seen through. Emily's work plays with concepts of theatricality through both performance and film. On top of her artistic pursuits, Emily works full-time for the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts as a Development & Special Events Associate. Emily is deeply passionate about supporting the arts in her community and works to do so in all aspects of her life, both artistically as well as administratively.
CARISA ARMSTRONG & CHRISTINE BERGERON have worked together for 20 years at Texas A&M University. They developed the dance program at the university, had a professional dance company and created many works together over the years. In 2017, they began constructing an evening length work based on the Holocaust, Todesmärche was the first section. Their research is split between dance science and creative scholarly activities. They have presented their research and choreography internationally/nationally at conferences/festivals such as: International Association for Dance Medicine and Science, Performing Arts Medicine Association, National Dance Society, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
